Firebase Analytics vs Mobile App Tracking

What are the differences between Firebase Analytics and the legacy Mobile App Tracking in Google Analytics? Which one should you use? Which of the containers to use with Google Tag Manager in apps – Firebase SDK or Google Analytics Services SDK?

On all topics do I mention and compare the standard Google Analytics features to Google Analytics 360, and of course Firebase Analytics.
