Artificial Intelligence & Wearables Can Combat Opioid Addiction | Ellie Gordon | TEDxPittsburgh

The opioid epidemic is one that affects addicts and their families across the United States. In this talk, UX designer and startup co-founder Ellie Gordon explores the possibility of using design thinking, artificial intelligence and machine learning to create an app-wearable-device integration to support recovery and prevent overdoses by designing for behavior change. Ellie is an entrepreneur, designer, and passionate social justice activist, bringing over a decade of design, marketing, creative problem solving, & technology experience in both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors. She is the cofounder, COO, and designer at an AI startup working to mitigate the opioid epidemic with technology. Behaivior is competing in the multi-year IBM WATSON AI XPRIZE competition and was top 10 in the world for the first milestone. Ellie enjoys traveling, nature, & dogs.
