This is just a high level overview of my off-grid solar panel setup running a window air conditioner (4.1 amp). The battery is 100AH and the solar panel generates 100W of power to recharge. 100AH capacity divided by a 5 amp load will equal a 20 hour running time before the battery would need to be charged.
Ideally, you would want 8 of these batteries run in a series to safely power this system for years day in and out but in a pinch, this rig works perfectly for me. I will post a followup after hard use.
